Bella Poarch's biological Filipino parents welcomed her in the Philippines, on February 9 in 1997. Her grandmother lived in the streets until she reached three years old. She was then adopted. Both of her adoptive parents are Filipinos and her white American adoptive dad has an army background. Her mother claims that she and her brother, who was adopted when infants, were subject to abuse before they joined the military. She and her family moved to Texas when she was thirteen because her father was undergoing bypass surgery. They spent a few days living in San Francisco with her aunt. Her mother says that the physical violence stopped after a short time, but she was still forced to suffer from psychological abuse by her father. Poarch enlisted in the United States Navy when she turned 18. Poarch created her TikTok profile in April of 2020. Within eight months she had more than 40 million fans. Poarch posted numerous videos. However, her biggest moment was her music video to Millie B's popular song Soph Aspin Send. The video that was zoomed in of her dancing and singing to the song made the rounds and was one of the most-viewed TikTok videos of all time. After she became a member of TikTok and gained fame, Poarch started up a YouTube channel as well as a Twitter account. The fame of Poarch reached its height in December of 2020. Poarch was reportedly the subject of interest of two big professional Esports teams. 100 Thieves as well as FaZe Clan expressed interest in hiring her to create content for the respective brands.
